I have been absolutely swamped since I started working with Discount Telecom and it has been great. Things have started out with the normal piddly stuff, but that is to be expected since they don't know what I am good at yet. That is seeming to pass fairly quickly since last night I spend several hours with one of my colleagues repairing a RAID array on a Dell server. There will be more on that later since I snapped a few fun pictures with my phone.
The people here are great, and although I've been doing a ton of driving, it is great to be working with this group of people. I also really enjoy the ability to get out, meet new customers, and just enjoy being outside once in a while instead of being caged in an office all day. It wasn't until I left the trust company that I realized just how much I really didn't like working there. Mainly, I had been giving serious thought to leaving about 6 months before I actually left, and was starting to think about leaving IT entirely because of that place.
Unfortunately I can't wish them all the best of luck considering what Danny did. One day, I hope someone exposes him, and he gets what coming to him. that is the only bitterness I have, and I'm taking all of the great things I've learned form that place and moving forward. Leaving that place behind has really brightened my future.
